Service & Spirituality

Service & Spirituality exposes students to the ways in which people across time and place find meaning and purpose through community service and civic engagement.

I developed Service & Spirituality as a First Year Seminar to provide hands-on opportunities for Arcadia students to participate in the behind-the-scenes work of faith-based communities. The following individuals and organizations collaborated with our class: Sister Niela, Masjidullah; Luke Billman, Shores of Grace; Cindy Brubaker, Lutheran Fellowship Methodist Church; Henrik Sonntag, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church; Maddy Levine-Wolf, Jewish Relief Agency.
